The course will cover the definition of Standard Operating Procedure and the main steps of SOP development end insurance of its effectiveness. It will also explain basic SOP review and maintenance requirements. It will show the difference between Standard Operating Procedure or SOP and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure or SSOP.
A standard operating procedure, or SOP is a detailed instruction completed by designated person/team in an organization. The SOP consist of very concise and specific step-by-step certain tasks instructions for helping workers on carrying out the complex of their routine operations.
It is important for every organization to have SOPs, as they help in achieving efficiency, quality and uniformity in employee’s performance, and at the same time help reducing miscommunication and misunderstanding leading to failure to comply with requirements in the food industry.
SOPs are also very useful in training employees and in establishing a consistent method for conducting daily operations.

Each location has it’s own additional supports that we offer. Transportation or lunch may be offered depending on need.
How long is the program and what can I expect in participating?
The program runs for 7 weeks, Monday to Friday full days. You day may start at 9 or 9:30 depending on your province. We expect everyone to come neatly dressed and ready to learn.
Is child care provided?
At this time, no it is not.
What are the previous education and job history requirements?
There are NONE! We welcome participants of all age levels and your previous job history is just that, history!
